How are CPD hours monitored?
A sample of CPD members are audited each year and asked to produce further detailed records of their CPD activities which are reviewed in detail for their relevancy. Every CPD member makes an Annual Return each year by 31 January i.e. make a formal declaration of both the formal and informal (if any) hours completed in the previous CPD year (note: all CPD activity must be completed in the calendar year i.e. by 31 December for each CPD year). Annual Returns can be made by hard copy or online – the Institute corresponds with all members in early December each year regarding the process.
