How are custom Item Specifics used for browsing and search results? How do I know if the custom Item Specifics I entered will show up in the “Refine Searches” section?
All custom Item Specifics that you have created will appear on the item page for each of your listings. All names and values on the item page will also be included in title and description searches. The most popular names and values used by sellers in each category can be included in the “Refine Search” section of the search results page. Currently, only certain categories will display Item Specifics on the search results page. Again, the best practice is NOT to use Item Specifics as a way to differentiate your listing. Whenever possible, it’s best to use the Item Specifics recommended by eBay in the Sell Your Item flow as long as they accurately describe your item. (See example in answer above). The most popular names and values used by sellers in each category may be included in the “Refine Search” section of the search results page.
