Roanoke College has a close working relationship with the Salem Police Department, and the College maintains direct radio contact with the police. In the event of a 911 call, the notification goes directly to Salem dispatch for fire, EMS or police response. At the same time, Salem notifies the College via radio contact so the safety officers on campus can respond immediately.
