How are first-year students assigned?
Incoming first-year students are paired based on the following criteria: (1) whether or not they have chosen a residential first-year course and (2) according to their room and board application listing their living preferences. Residential Life makes every attempt to assign students based on their preferences. Residential Life cannot accommodate all requests but does try very hard to match students according to their needs. What items should I bring to campus? Please go to our list of suggested items. These are only possible suggestions of things to bring to campus. We encourage roommates to speak to one another prior to moving in to help eliminate doubling up of large items. What size are the mattresses? All beds are twin sized, extra long (the dimensions are 36″ x 80″). We recommend purchasing extra-long twin sheets. The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is sponsoring a Linens Program.
