How are Market Participants (MPs) required to construct their transfer sets and data sets in the ERCOT ICCP server?
Market Participants (MPs) are required to separate analog and status values received from ERCOT with the exception stated in the Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol (ICCP) Handbook. ERCOT has no control over how the MP constructs the data sets and transfer sets in the ERCOT ICCP server and has therefore made it a requirement in the ICCP Handbook for the MP not to mix the status and analog values of the data received from ERCOT, in order to preserve bandwidth and server performance. ERCOT follows the same rules for data received from the MP ICCP server and does not mix status and analog values in the data sets. The ICCP Handbook has been revised to make it clear that this requirement is for the data received by the MP from ERCOT.
