How are new spectra added to the Spectral Data Base?
The Spectral Data pages are located in the LSPECTRA top level directory. The main file that structures the Spectral Data base is /lspectra/lspec1.htm. This is a frameset file that should not require modification. It does use the lspecy.htm file that is the menu of all available Spectral Data pages. Note that all imagery associated specifically with the Spectral Data page has been put in the same directory as the pages. The following steps are performed to add a new Spectral Data page: • Construct the Spectral Data page using the Spectral Data page template aTemplateS1.htm as a guide. • Modify the file lspecy.htm to add the newly created Spectral Data page. Note that it needs to be added twice, once according to material type and once according to the geographic location of the sample.
