How are PE teachers important in encouraging young people to take part in life-long sport?
PE teachers are immensely important for this. they have the power to inspire young people to enjoy sport and carry on with it after they’ve left school. however if they’re rubbish, they have the power to make them absolutely loath sporting activities. They need to be energetic and passionate about sport and about teaching it and passing it on to kids, and helping them with whatever they need help with to improve and excell in sport. They need to make the lessons fun and enjoyable, and not be too strict – but still be able to keep control – to make kids want to come to PE and not dread it.
