How Are Super Bowl Tickets Distributed By the NFL?
Most Super Bowl tickets are made available through the two teams competing in the game, and to a lesser extent through the other NFL teams. The host team is also a major recipient. The NFL controls and distributes circa 25% of the tickets to NFL affiliated companies such as NFL Properties, NFL Films, NFL Players Association, corporate sponsors, media, VIPs, charities, the Host Committee, and the like. It also provides Super Bowl tickets to the networks broadcasting the events. Super Bowl Tickets Offered To General Public. Approximately one percent of Super Bowl tickets are offered to the general public through a random drawing where applications are open annually from February to June.
