A. Janitors want employer-paid family health care, just like all workers in our economy. A union contract for janitors would provide access to health care for thousands of Houston workers, easing the burden on the city’s public health system and lowering health costs for taxpayers. In other cities where janitors have formed a union with SEIU, janitors have worked together with community organizations and businesses to push for lower health costs and increased access to affordable health care for all working people.
