The liquid herbal extracts from Pure Herbs, Ltd. are made with water and grain neutral spirits (a natural alcohol). When the extract is kept in the liquid solution for two to four weeks, we get far more out of an herb than if a capsule or powdered herb is in the body soaking for 8 to 24 hours. Alcohol is used because it readily dissolves all of the oily, waxy, enzyme and hormonal portions of an herb. Water alone cannot do this.
