How big are the spiders in Florida and are they hairy?

We do have some big spiders, and yes, some of them are hairy. When I first moved into my house I had a lot of them, due to some gaps in our pipes, but we haven’t seen much since we closed the gaps. Sometimes we have some big ones outside, but very few that are venomous and they mostly just eat the really big bugs, so that’s a good thing. That doesn’t make them any less scary though! The biggest I ever saw here was when I was on vacation near Disney as a kid; there was a spider on our resort patio that was at least five inches across from front legs to back legs. THAT one freaked me out. But I haven’t seen anything like that since I’ve lived here and that was 20+ years ago.
