How big of a time commitment does 4-H require?
To some extent it depends on how many projects you choose to participate in. Each club has two kinds of meetings you will go to each month. You meet at the Community Meeting with everyone in your club. This is where all the business for the club is done. The kids who run the meeting are called officers. The whole group is responsible for deciding all the activities, events, community service projects and how to fund the projects that will be done. You also go to a meeting for each of the projects you choose to join within 4-H. You join at least one project the hard part is narrowing it down to projects you really have time to get involved in. Each project typically meets one hour per month. Many of our projects are more in-depth (e.g. shooting sports, clothing, livestock, adventures) and require large time blocks far surpassing one hour per month.
