How big should Mini dachshunds get?

Usually a dachshund (mini or standard) will not grow to its fullest size anywhere from 10 months to a year. I used to work at a pet store and just to let you know…puppies usually have to be held and cared for by the company/breeder until they’re at least 8 weeks old. (Not sure where you are from but that is a state law in Pennsylvania). Also keep in mind the parents of your little puppy!! See if you can find out the height & weight of it’s parents so you will have a better idea of how big your little one will be in the future! It is normal for a mini to be so small…(you might have just got the runt of the litter). If you are still concerned about the weight of him/her right now…my best suggestion would be to visit your local pet store and inquire on a high calorie supplement for your puppy (this can be added to his/her food). But beware that too much of this may drive you crazy because it will raise the energy level of your precious!! I hope this was helpful =) Best of luck with
