How big will my mastiff be?
Well there is a considerable weight difference between female and male mastiffs of all breeds. But for an English Mastiff a male tops off at nearly 225lbs. Whereas a female will weigh somewhere in the 190-200s. Males are also about three inches taller than females. Considering his father was HUGE, even for an English Mastiff, he will probably stand a good chance of getting very large, say 210-220 at least. The only advice I have is about neutering him. If you plan on doing so, WAIT UNTIL HE’S FULLY GROWN, otherwise he’ll dwarf in comparison to other males of his breed and age.
If he’s a Mastiff, he’s gonna be big. Whether he reaches 255 pounds like Dad, or inherits Mom’s more … um, “petite” size (!) he’s still a Mastiff. And that will be one BIG dog. Only time will tell. For now, save your pennies … you’re gonna need ’em to buy food for your growing (and growing and GROWING) boy!
