How can a God of love send people to hell ?
Before we consider the question we need to understand what hell is. It is difficult, in fact impossible for us to grasp supernatural things like hell with our human minds. So the bible uses pictorial language to describe the awfulness of hell, ie. a place of darkness, of weeping, a lake of fire. In reality hell is eternal banishment from the presence of a holy God, a place where evil men and women of all ages will be able to continue their evil deeds without restraint. God will not send anyone to hell. A person’s presence in hell will be the result of a decision made in their earthly life, to ignore God and His love. It is not the desire of God that people should remain on the road to hell but rather turn to him in, turn away from evil and asking forgiveness for their wrongdoing. We see God’s love in the words of Jesus Christ “God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish (go to hell) but have eternal life” God hates evil, and one day,
