Cosmetologist is a regulated profession in the Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein and Slovakia. In these countries the use of a protected title and/or the offering certain services are restricted. An American licence is not automatically valid. Where cosmetologist is not a regulated profession (most of Europe) the recognition of your US training is at the discretion of your employer, which is unlikely to be a problem. There are official contact points in all 31 countries where you can obtain information. There is legislation on mutual recognition of qualifications, but only between these 31 countries.
