It’s easiest if you already have a shirt to go by. Turn both shirts inside out and, on a flat hard surface, lay the smaller one down on top of the larger, matching the shoulders. Pin them together securely. Sometimes, when you spread out your smaller shirt, the side seams will want to be a little bit under or a little bit on top. That’s because they cut the shirt with more material in front to give you chest room. If this is the case, scrunch the fabric until the side seams lie flat, and scrunch the front of the bigger shirt an equal amount so that it will have the same amount of chest room when you’re done. With chalk or white pencil, trace the side seams of the smaller shirt onto the bigger one. Draw right from the bottom hem, under the arm and out to the edge of the sleeve. Now take away the smaller shirt. If it had a seam allowance, measure it. Now measure the same distance from your new lines, back in towards the inside of the big shirt, and mark where the seam will really be. You
