How can Christians celebrate festivals which have pagan origins such as Christmas and Easter?

I appreciate your concern that we get it right. I also appreciate that your second email expressed the spirit of Galatians 6:1-2 and Matthew 18:15ff. I can see and understand exactly what you are saying regarding Christmas. Perhaps the phrase ?reclaim? is an unfortunate one. I will be looking at the question again and changing some of the wording. However, I believe that you go too far in linking the celebrations of Christmas and Easter with Exodus 32:4-10. What you have there is a direct rebellion against God and what he had instructed Israel. The Israelites were looking for an image of a god that they could see, rather than the God that was speaking to them from the mountain and leading them in the pilla
