How can Conservatives be “PRO-LIFE” and supported going to war in Iraq?

Gilbert, This is a good question, but it does contain a generalization. I am a pro-life conservative, and I feel that people who are “conservative” or “Republican” often make decisions that go against their supposed morals by, for instance, pushing war and the death penalty. I believe in the protection of all human life from conception until natural death. But in defense of the other candidate, McCain is certainly not a war-monger. He has endured the horrors of war first hand, and I truly believe that he wants to disconnect America from this war in the safest way possible. I know that it is easy to lump people into one group, but I hope (as someone who stands up for life in all occasions, not only when it’s convenient), that you rethink your opinion about pro-life conservatives. There is a lot of hypocrisy on every side of the political spectrum, but it does not explain everyone.
