Surgical removal of the abnormal pregnancy can be done using laproscopy, also known as key-hole surgery where one or two small incisions are made on the lower abdomen and a laproscope is introduced to remove the abnormal pregnancy. A fallopian tubule ruptured from an ectopic pregnancy may require removal. Less extensive surgery can be done if the ectopic pregnancy is diagnosed earlier before the tube is stretched too much or becomes ruptured.
