How can educators who speak different languages dialogue with each other?
Sharing ideas, processes, and information is an interesting problem for educators who aren’t able to communicate using a common language. Luckily it’s not an insurmountable problem. By using creative and varying strategies, educators can find ways to overcome the obstacle of language. One of the easiest ways for educators to deal with this issue is to work in coordination with multilingual personnel. An obvious candidate to fill this role would be a multilingual educator in the same field. Other possibilities include bilingual office staff, and depending on resources, hiring a professional translator. Much of this depends on the level of communication needed and the resources available to the educators.
