How can ERP software work as a Decision Support System?

QUADSTM provides a message / alert driven workflow. People who are working on sequential tasks, gets system generated messages of completion of earlier task. Respective manager gets a notification mail for information. Similar notification gets generated after completion of the task by assigned individual. If the task is not completed during stipulated time period, reminder is generated by the system. Involuntary tasks are handled by a scheduler running in background and alerts are generated of such events which will be happening shortly. This creates a tremendous management control over the process and enables them to take appropriate action in time. Similarly, MIS reports generated on historical data gives a birds eye view on the summarised information for decision support.
