How can evangelism be a veritable tool to church growth?

Evangelism can be considered as a tool to help the church grow as it is a zealous preaching and advocacy of gospel. It is a way in which an individual can serve Him and spread His message, thereby helping in the church growth.

I’m not sure what you mean by “veritable tool” but I churches can and do grow through evangelism, which is nothing more than faithfully teaching the word of God which always points to personal salvation. Sadly, however, a lot of church growth is accomplished when people hop from one evangelical church to another. All Christians were evangelized at one time or another, whether on the street or in an actual church setting, so my answer is definitely yes. Check out resources such as Evangelism Explosion, for more help here, and just last weekend I met a fellow who says he became a Christian years ago at a Promise Keepers rally. Today he’s a member of an Evangelical Free Church. Most born-agains today were born again before they reached 14 years of age, so if you really want to evangelize, that’s you best mission field. Or do you just want to grow your church. I’d work first on populating Heaven, and practice delayed gratification for my rewards.

Evangelism is the one commandment Jesus gave us Christians… Go onto the world and spread the Gospel, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit… ( I’m paraphrasing here). Though many christians today, forget that bugging people isn’t what Jesus had in mind, and He definitely didn’t aks any of us to judge others and tell them they’re sinners! We are not the ones to direct a person’s change or acceptance of Jesus as their personal savior… we are just sent to evangelise and spread the seed of salvation, and hope it falls on fertile hearts… Afterwards, God and His word will work in the person and a church is the obvious place to go to fraternise with others in the faith. So, yeah, it works, if done correctly and the Lord’s will is done in people…
