How can I, as a faculty member, utilize the sustainability living/learning laboratories in courses or for class-related applied research projects?
Faculty and students can become involved with the living/learning laboratories through research and classroom engagement. For example, in Fall 2009 several biology classes used the Furman Farm as a laboratory for investigating invertebrate populations in organic and conventionally managed landscapes, and a Health and Exercise Science class used the farm as a focus for studying nutrition. See the “Getting Involved” section below for the complete list of living/learning labs.
