How can i book a cheap hotel through the website?
I use www.hostelworld.com. I choose a place, select the nights I want to stay there and the type of room I want, and then all going well, a page comes up telling me that those rooms are available and here’s the price, and there’s usually a button to click that says Reserve This Room or something like that. When you make a reservation you have to provide a credit card number as well as your details, and they take a percentage of the total price as a deposit right then, which you can get back if you decide not to take those rooms within a certain length of time. You provide an e-mail address and the website e-mails you a confirmation of the reservation and a record of the payment taken, and you have a reservation number also which you keep – it’s a good idea to mail the hotel a week or so before you go to make sure they still have that confirmation.
