Hard to say without more information, but either it’ll work or it won’t. There’s a quick and easy way to find out, which is to create a copy of the master (File > Save As > “Font Test”) and change the font. If it works, great, that copy is now the new master; if not, those blocks of text which have been rendered plain will have to be re-italicized.
