As you clean out each room, put a large garbage bag or waste basket in the middle of the room & pitch the junk. Rule of thumb as you do each room” A place for everything & everything in its place.” What you don’t throw away, ask yourself if you’ve used it in the past year. If not, pitch it. Get rid of all the clutter in each room. The plastic storage bins w/lids can come in handy for storing things you need to use from time to time. If you have a garage, attic, or a crawlspace, it’s a good place to store the bins, as long as they are labeled & closed securely. Keep your home picked up daily & it will make things easier for you. If you have others living in your home, have them keep things picked up daily. Keep closets organized regularly. Get rid of clothing not being worn. As I said, just do one room at a time & organize it to a T, then move on to the next room.
