To create a MX or CNAME record you need to install Cobalt OS Patch 3.0. The patch and directions are available from our Web Site To create a CNAME record, access the Administrator Site – Control Panel – Service – DNS parameters. Under the Host Name parameters the first name is now the A record while any additional names, after the first, are created as CNAME records. *NOTE: Names should be separated by a space. **NOTE: To create a CNAME record for a domain name, enter the domain name after the A level record and terminate it with a period. For example you have a domain called domain.com hosted on your Qube’s DNS, an entry like ‘192.168.25.77 mail www domain.com.’ would create an A level record for mail.domain.com, A CNAME record for www.domain.comm, and A CNAME record for domain.com.
