Can anyone please guide me where I could get an owners’ Manual for Chevrolet (Malibu). I bought a 1998 model and the anti-theft device installed in it sometimes switches on automatically as if I am stealing my own car. I would like to disconnect it as no mechanic here knows how to do it. Many thanks to you Jim. It really worked and now no trouble with the anti-theft device. A: You need to cut the yellow wire going to the Passlock resistor at the ignition cylinder, while it’s running…the security light will stay on (unless you remove the bulb), but the annoying 10-15 minute delay in starting will go away…info, with pics, below…
