How can I find out when the Mormon Family History Center is going to film the records in the village in Italy I am interested in?
With regards to whether or not records have recently been, or are in the process of being filmed by the LDS Family History Department, it is strongly recommend that you send a note to the following individual asking about the towns that you are interested in. • Mr. Kelvin R. Meier • Family History Department • Southern Europe Acquisitions • 50 East North Temple Street • Salt Lake City, Utah 84150 A letter was sent asking if records for Sassoferrato, Ancona, Marche, Italy were going to be filmed, etc. The response received 2 weeks later was helpful in saying that it should not be expected to find any for that area for the forseeable future. So now ONE KNOWS one needs to contact the local parishes, etc., or get someone to go there, or go there personally to view those records.
