How Can I Find Vintage Germany Beads in Bulk?
Unfortunately, it’s very very hard to find “vintage” beads in bulk these days, and worse is that for some reason the UK and Europe are the absolute worst places to find them. Most vintage bead wholesalers (even a rare few retail vintage sellers such as myself) spend years combing through “estate” sales and foreclosed craft companies to find a even just a few lucky catches (hence why anything “vintage” usually costs more than their “modern day” counterparts). I got very lucky a few years ago at such a sale – I came across an old arts and crafts warehouse down near Miami that was scheduled for demolition and the bank who’d foreclosed the place held a public auction for everything inside, including loads of vintage beads to my joy! I bought what I could (nearly 2,000$ worth whew!) but to my dismay I found when I got home that there was hardly any info on where they were from or even what companies made them; only 1 name was printed on several of the bags – L’Dacal, W Germany – but after 2
