How can i fix a problem with salt on my indesit evolution de 43 dishwasher?

Whenever i use the dishwasher, there is a flashing salt icon, and when turned on, no water is poured into the chamber with the plates and cutelry and the letters AOI flash on it. We have recenty changed the salt.
