I’m trying to fix a MAV6000 Atlantis- I am to the transmission now. I did this: Open top of washer – 2 screws removed at L/R top sides to remove front face – removed top cover off agitator (holds softner) – 1/2″ bolt holding agiatator (below the gunk) – top cover over basin has tabs x 6, popped them loose (removes ring aound top – plastic star nut at base removed with channel locks – pipe and hammer tapped easily to remove metal basket hub – once loose the plastic inner basin removes – 6 bolts at outer base of outer basin attaches to transmission – remove them, 4 screws inside of basin removed and outer basin comes off. NOTE: bottom of transmission has 200# spring compression be careful removing the six 5/16″ screws (under the pulley – this is the bottom of the transmission). I might have missed a few things but that is the most of it. Hope that helps somewhat. John K.
