How can I get chewing gum out of jeans?

Spray the chewing gum with WD40, leave for a bit and it should come away easily. Then you’ll be left with a WD40 stain, so you’ll get Fairy Liquid and pour some to cover the stain, get a nail/tooth brush and rub as hard as you can (without damaging the material, obviously!) in all directions so the detergent gets through all the warp of the weave. Put in washing machine and wash as hot as it’s allowed.
