How can I get invited to tour the inside of the White House?
Well, if you are head of state somewhere they might invite you…but if you are one of us ordinary people, you can make arrangements through your elected member of Congress’s office. Here is what the website for my idiot congressman says about it: Tour Summary: The tour includes visits to the State Dining Room, the Red Room, the Blue Room, the Green Room, and the East Room. Address: 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Closest Metro Stops: Federal Triangle (Blue and Orange lines), Metro Center (Blue, Orange, and Red lines), and McPherson Square (Blue and Orange lines) Tour Length: 30-45 minutes, self-guided Availability: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal holidays).
