How can I get my hyper 8 yr. old Shiba Inu mix to socialize with other animals better?
I got her from a shelter as a stray when she was about 1 yr. old. She’s well behaved in all other areas but when she sees another dog, or any animal, she gets very excited, hair up on her back and tries to pull towards the other dog. I’m not sure what her intentions are… Sometimes she’s okay with other dogs and sometimes there’s a confrontation. She seems to always want to dominate, i.e., sniffing and humping the other dog but refusing to let the dog sniff her. Is this abnormal behavior for spayed female? She’s been through obedience classes twice and it didn’t do much good for her issue. Thankyou very much!!!!!!!
