How can I get my wife to stop being lazy and clean up after herself?
I’m like her and I think the reason is that I don’t have much energy and I’d rather live in an untidy situation than put forth the effort to clean up. In your situation the work falls to you which is unfair. That happens to me too because my kids don’t like cleaning either. I think you should assume the majority of the cleaning tasks or hire a maid because I don’t see her changing. You can buy an extra laundry basket and agree that she will put the laundry in the basket on top of the dryer. This way you move the basket wherever you’d like. Place a coat rack next to the front door so she can land her coat and purse there. You feel put upon and you are, so you should probably dump the grocery shopping back on to her.
