How can I get rid of weeds between sidewalks?

DO NOT USE BLEACH! Bleach should not be poured into the ground. Ever. I am surprised the Round Up isn’t working, and hope you realize it can take a couple weeks to work. However, it is not a total killer, so new weeds can grow in the places where you just killed the last batch (Round Up breaks down in about 2 weeks, so you can replant in a weeded area if needed). I don’t like to use chemicals either, but I do rely on Round Up for my gravel driveway. I have to apply it about once a month in warm weather, as new weeds continue to germinate. You can also buy a total weed killer. The Round Up company introduced one this spring and Ortho’s version is actually called Total Weed Killer. This should only be applied in areas where you never want anything to grow. Certainly do not fill the gaps with rigid materials such a mortar or concrete, as they will only crack and pop out as the materials expand and contract due to weather changes.

Vinegar in a spray bottle will get rid of them also. If you’re looking for something permanent, you’re going to have to get on your knees and try to pull out the whole weed, root and all.

Pour boiling water on the cracks. Kills the weeds for about a month, and costs nothing.

Use GroundClear it can be purchased at Home Depot for 20$ a gallon and will kill the weeds for 8 to 12 months! The @#%$ really works great!!!

If that doesn’t work, then contact a person that knows about that stuff, like a gardener. They will probably suggest another weed killer that they use. If that doesn’t work, then you’re pretty much stuck with weeds.
