You can also use plastic or fiber weed barriers in planting, making small holes for your wanted plants and preventing weeds from coming up between them. Planting heavy native groundcovers can also help by creating a dense mat of foliage which weeds cannot penetrate.

Now, if you are a gardener or you have a garden where you’re trying to grow a lot of plants at one time, you know all about weeds. And weeds can just take over your flower beds very quickly. But I found an easy way to get rid of them. And it’s very simple. So these flower beds are long and they’re just full of bulbs and weeds ’cause I haven’t weeded enough in here over the summer. It’s been raining in the fall, the weeds have been going to town. But what I’ve been doing is raking up all of my leaves and just covering the beds, around the plants that are growing, I’m just putting the leaves down. And I’m finding that it works so quickly. The weeds die back so quickly. And in the spring it’ll be lush dirt with no weeds in it and the bulbs will come right up.
