How can I keep away mosquitos at my picnic?
The easiest way to avoid mosquitoes is to put on DEET lotion/sprays to keep off the bugs, including mosquitoes. However, many people would prefer to use other methods (other than DEET, which is known to have harsh chemicals). Alternatives include:
1) keeping cool (sweat attracts mosquitoes)
2) not putting on fragrances (sweet smells also attract these bugs)
3) wearing lighter shades of clothing
4) avoiding your picnic during the early morning or evening hours.
