How can I keep my bars of soap from melting and collecting on my soap dish?

I always keep a folded washcloth on the soap dish because I got tired of having to constantly soak and scrape the soap mess off the black ceramic wall mounted holder. The soap lasts longer and when the wash cloth gets messy looking, I just throw it in the laundry and replace it with another.  more
