How can I practice using the eApproval functionality?
Use the SAGE Training Server. Follow this simple recipe: 1. Go to the SAGE Welcome page 2. Click on “Use SAGE (eGC1) Training Server” from the left navigation options 3. Log in with your UW Net Id and password 4. Click on “Create New eGC1” (top option from the left navigation) 5. Complete all the required fields (denoted by a red asterisk*), beginning with the long title; suggest that you also name an Administrative Contact and Budget Contact 6. The approval graph will be created based on the Org Code Rec’ving Funding, Personnel appointments, Cost Sharing, Compliance Questions and the rules for each school/college or organization. Enter information on the eGC1 that will generate the type of approval graph you want. 7. “Complete” the application using the button of the same name on the Certify-Complete-Print page 8.
