Moving is a big job, unfortunately dreaded by many, but there are steps anyone can take to make the move smoother, easier and more pleasant. Most of the stress that comes with moving can be avoided by not putting off the preparation until it’s too late. If approached pragmatically and with a healthy attitude, preparing to move can be cathartic, enjoyable and energizing. Take the time to look at where you are in your life. If you were to move to a new home, what would you have to do this year? Using the examples above to help focus what you want to let go of and what you want for the future. • Identify what inspires you and do more of it find music, poetry, friends, activities, movies, favorite places, etc. that truly make you feel good and make a commitment to have those in your life more this year. • Identify what you want for your future and create a mental picture of that.
