How can I restore an internet connection without rebooting when Zone Alarm has locked me out?

You sure it’s zone alarm, and not your ISP? I have DSL connection, I use Zone Alarm too, and I had the same problem. After an hour of inactivity my connection was dead. I needed to reboot. But Zone Alarm seem to working fine. I disable Zone Alarm but the problem presist. So I realize was my ISP. I have now outlook express checking for e-mail every 30 minutes. And my problem solved. ISP don’t locked me out for inactivity. I tried to talk to them but to no avail. When a connection is idle they said and they need bandwith they’ll use the bandwidth of idle connections. So I check e-mail every 30 min. and my problem solved. No need to worry about idle connection. Now about Zone Alarm and hardware firewall. I have a router with a hardware firewall ,but I use Zone Alarm too cause this is the only way I can manage the programs I want to have internet or system access. To configure router’s firewall only can be done using, command window and apropriate command, and that a lot work for me.
