How can I transfer a city guide license after a firmware software update (“firmware reflash”) or formatting the internal device memory?
In case the entire mobile device is formatted, for example due to a firmware software update (“firmware reflash”), you can retrieve the purchased license for your city guide via the update function. For instance, if you press the update button after the mobile device was formatted, your license for, say, a City Guide to Berlin is transferred. The city guide license is updated via Options > Extra Services > Guides. Then choose the guide you are looking for and press Options > Update Note that you may still need to update the contents of the city guide itself. The guide file itself has to be downloaded again using the City Guide menu. It is then unlocked automatically because the license is already on your mobile device.
