How can I transfer to a self-paced course before the withdrawal deadline?
If you want to transfer to a self-paced course, don’t drop your current class. Once you obtain the add code and transfer petition for the new course, you have it signed by the professor, then take it to the Records office in A-109 where they will drop you from your previous course and add the self-paced course at the same time. The Records office will transfer your course fee so that you don’t have to pay twice for the course. If the transfer is completed after the drop deadline, you will receive a W, but it is a “soft’” W (part of a transfer), and it will not affect your academic record. Click here for more information.
