How Can Keeping the Word of Wisdom Bless Our Lives?
Relate the story of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego found in Daniel 1. Tell how these young men were blessed by keeping the Lord’s law of health. Have family members compare Daniel 1:17–20 with Doctrine and Covenants 89:18–19. Explain that these men were blessed both spiritually and physically by their adherence to the Lord’s law of health. Emphasize that we can obtain these same blessings if we follow the Lord’s advice.
