How can my family host a foreign exchange student?

The top three programs are YFU, AFS and Rotary. The difference is that they are volunteer based, and people don’t get paid for placing a student in your home. I’m not sure if you have to be in Rotary to host through them. Both AFS and YFU have summer opportunities. However, if you think you can talk them into a school year, the organizations are still placing for next year. See if your school deadline for placing students has passed — you can call the district office to find out.
