How can my organization receive a grant from a donor advised fund?
Of our donor advised funds (more than 300), fewer than 10 currently accept applications or request proposals via a formal/competitive process. Grants from the remaining majority are recommended by the corporation, individual or family who established the fund, with guidance from Foundation staff if requested. We encourage all grant seekers to attend our Navigating Your Community Foundation workshop to better understand how grants are awarded from various types of funds.
