Title IID competitive funds are available to districts to participate in the eMINTS professional development program. Approximately 80 percent of the funds available each year are set aside for new district applicants, and 20 percent to award grants to established eMINTS districts. An established district is defined as a district with at least one teacher who has completed at least one year of the two-year eMINTS program. [Note one exception: the original MINTs districts and districts that received expansion grants in FY02 will no be eligible for FY05 Title IID eMINTS grants. Applications for the Title IID eMINTS grant program must be submitted to DESE by March 31. Districts will be selected based on the merits of their applications and need statuses.
